"Just because no one else can heal or do your inner work for you
doesn't mean you can, should, or need to do it alone"
Have you considered going to counseling but can't get past the stigma? Maybe you've had bad experiences with therapists in the past? Are you ready to do the inner work, but know you can't continue to do it alone?
Soulcial work may be just the approach for you.
I've created Soulcial work as a way to blend my passions and training into an integrative and holistic approach on healing and personal growth. Soulcial work is my unique way of delivering life coaching services in a relaxed setting. Our work together is client focused, guided by intuition, backed by theory, and interpreted through an experiential and relationship based lens.
I decided to implement my own way of working with clients to stay true to myself while helping you stay true to your goals and process.
In addition to being a clinical social worker (LCSW), I have specialty certifications in trauma as a certified clinical trauma professional (CCTP) and nutrition as a certified mental health & nutrition clinical specialist (CMNCS). I am also a certified life coach, and NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) practitioner; the training I have received in all of these areas has helped to shape how I view holistic healing.
Unlike in traditional therapy, healing is unique to the individual, doesn't always follow a prescribed treatment plan, and doesn't have to depend on a diagnosis. Healing needs to come from a place of love and light, rather than history and theory.
I will never down play the importance of counseling, therapy, medical intervention, and emergency mental health treatment; however, I am here to help you find other options and explore approaches that feel right for you.
I like to think of Soulcial work as life coaching for you as a whole...mind, body, and soul...that is delivered by a coach who has been blessed with the gift of intuition and has the diverse training to back it all up.
If alternative methods are your jam, but you are looking for a therapist in a "traditional" therapeutic setting; I do accept most Illinois medical insurances; contact me to discuss booking options.
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
She was responsive and reliable. I was able to schedule a phone meeting in short time and she helped me with writing prompts to figure out what I truly wanted to do in a challenging and emotional transition with a family member I had been estranged to. She understood the urgency of the situation’s timing and and helped me feel supported and understood. After the situation she also followed up with processing how that situation went and allowed me to respond at my own pace. Had a really positive experience with her :)
Courtney is professional and courteous. She asks thought-provoking questions gently and with enough respect to care about your feelings in any given situation. I have already learned new coping mechanisms and “tools” to help me with my mental illnesses, and that’s only after a few sessions. She will let you speak your piece and always offers for me to talk first if we accidentally speak simultaneously. This shows her dedication and compassionate nature towards the people she helps. Happy to be learning and getting help from Courtney.
I really appreciate Courtney’s hands on and direct approach. It gives me food for though and helps me decide what I want to bring to or continue in our next session.
She helps cut to the core feelings of an issue and gives great feedback for both written messages and live sessions.
